HI, I'M KALIYA

Thank you for checking out my blog! I decided to start this blog because for a long time now I have been wanting to share my story and experiences with Mental Health. Over the past couple of years I have found sharing my story and experiences not only helps me express the way I am feeling but can also help others. My hope is that by reading my blog you start conversations about Mental Health with loved ones, know that you are not alone or simply encourage you to share your own story.

I am originally from California but I have moved around a lot since I was young (yay sports) and I now reside in Boston, MA. I grew up playing Ice Hockey and it is a large part in who I am. Ice Hockey has taught me so many life lessons and has taken me to so many places. I graduated Boston College a Scholar Athlete and ever since I have been trying to live out my glory days as a professional ice hockey player for the Boston Pride. In my free time I love coaching and helping young players grow as people and as hockey players. If I am not working or in an ice rink, you can probably find me at a baseball field. My boyfriend is A LOT cooler than me and is a professional baseball player. But don’t tell him I said that, it will go straight to his head. 

I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, and an aunt to two crazy girls. Most of all, I am not perfect, nor was I ever meant to be.
